Grading
Warren Consolidated School District bases letter grades on a percentage scale. The grading scale is:
A+ 98-100, A 93, A- 90, B+ 87, B 83, B- 80, C+ 77, C 73, C- 70, D+ 67, D 63, D- 60, E 50, F 0-49
There are two Quarters in each Semester. In each Quarter, 80% =Assessments and 20% =Daily/Homework.Semester classes are graded differently depending upon the class level.
High School level classes = 40% Quarter 1 + 40% Quarter 2 + 20% Final Exam
Middle School classes = 50% Quarter 1 + 50% Quarter 2, with the Final Exam graded as a test in Quarter 2
Starting in 2013, Middle School report cards were changed to include three new items:
Effort: graded on a scale of 1 - 3, where 1 = Outstanding, 2 = Satisfactory, and 3 = Needs Improvement
Conduct: graded on a scale of 1 - 3, with 1 = Outstanding, 2 = Satisfactory, and 3 = Needs Improvement
Progress Standards: with students graded on concept mastery progress using a new set of letter scores
M = Mastery, D = Developing Mastery, B = Basic Understanding, I = Incomplete, and * = Area of Concern
